Province guide
Ontario casino hotels, reviewed
Updated · facts checked
Pick a style and Ontario has it. The falls outside your window? Niagara. A riverfront tower facing Detroit? Windsor. A new-build complex by the racetrack? Toronto. Adults only, with live music? Ottawa's Hard Rock. Lakes and a big stage? Rama, near Orillia. No province has more casino hotels. Every casino here operates under OLG, the AGCO regulates them, and the entry age is 19.

5 reviewed casino hotels
Fallsview Casino Resort
Book Fallsview for the view and stay for everything else: 372 rooms aimed at the falls, a casino of 3,200-plus slots and 110 tables, the 5,000-seat OLG Stage and 20-plus restaurants, all linked indoors. It is the casino hotel most Canadians picture first, and nowhere else in the country pairs that much under one roof with that outlook.
Caesars Windsor
Caesars Windsor is the biggest hotel we review — 758 rooms in two towers, most looking across the water at Detroit's skyline — and its 5,000-seat Colosseum keeps every seat within 225 feet of the stage. The casino adds 2,000-plus slots and 80-plus tables, and you're downtown, not out by a highway.
Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto
Toronto's newest big casino resort opened in 2023 next to Woodbine Racetrack with 400 rooms, a 5,000-capacity theatre, a pool with steam room and sauna, free parking and a free Pearson shuttle — plus an operator claim to the biggest slot selection in Canada.
Casino Rama Resort
Come for the 5,000-seat Entertainment Centre, stay at a resort being rebuilt around you: Casino Rama, on Rama First Nation land outside Orillia, has had rooms under renovation since 2025, opened a ground-floor spa, and added three restaurants including Gateway's Atlas Steak and Fish.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa
The youngest property in our guide (doors opened July 3, 2025) is also the first Hard Rock in Canada to combine hotel, casino and venue as one fully integrated resort. There are 150 rooms including 22 suites, more than 1,500 slots in a casino that never shuts, Hard Rock LIVE with room for 2,200 and a Council Oak steakhouse. Nobody under 19 is admitted anywhere, the hotel included.
Not yet reviewed: two more Ontario options
Two newer hotels haven't had a full review from us yet: the 275-room hotel at Pickering Casino Resort, east of Toronto (opened January 2023), and the hotel at Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel near Port Perry (completed November 2021). Details for both are on the new openings page.
