How we score casino hotels

Updated · facts checked

Six criteria, each scored 0–10, combined as a weighted average — so a hotel can't top the table on a single strength.

What each criterion covers

Our sources

Every profile starts from the pages of the hotel and the casino operator. Next come hotel-brand websites and provincial tourism boards, and only after those do we use press reports and Wikipedia, always naming them. If sources conflict — the room count at Hilton Lac-Leamy is one example — we print both figures. Where a figure isn't public, we tell you so rather than guess. This edition's hotel facts come from a check on October 23, 2026; the page on new openings was checked on October 28, 2026.

An honest note: nobody from our team stayed at these hotels for this edition. These are desk reviews of published information, and you should know that.

How the site is funded

We are not paid by hotels, and every hotel link is an ordinary link. The two online casino pages are different: links there may be affiliate links, so if you sign up through one we may get a commission, at no extra cost to you. That money has no effect on hotel scores, and the hotel ranking has no paid places.

Fixing mistakes

Things move fast at casino resorts — a pool reopens, a restaurant closes, a fee creeps up. Send anything outdated to [email protected]; we'll check it against the source and republish the page with a new date.
