Moncton, New Brunswick · minimum age 19+
Casino New Brunswick: our review
Updated · facts checked
Moncton's casino hotel has been open since 2010, and its 126 rooms begin at a roomy 440 square feet, with windows that open and city or mountain views. There's a pool, a concert venue, free parking and a welcome for pets, and Hopewell Rocks and Magnetic Hill are within driving range: Atlantic Canada's go-to casino stay.
Ideal for: Maritime drives with a pet on board, within reach of Magnetic Hill and Hopewell Rocks.
Think twice if: You want room service or more than a couple of dining options.
The short version
If you're gambling in Atlantic Canada and want a proper hotel attached, this is it. Casino New Brunswick opened in Moncton in 2010, combining casino, hotel and entertainment centre in one building, and Great Canadian Entertainment runs it.
Which room to book
Space is the strong point. Of the 126 rooms and suites, even the entry-level Deluxe King measures 440 sq ft, and the Deluxe Two Queen is 490. Expect tall ceilings, windows you can open, walk-in showers and 300-thread-count sheets, with a view of either the city or the mountain. Moving up, the Studio Suite has 590 sq ft and the Luxury Suite 795; the fifth-floor Marquis Suite has two bathrooms and its own balcony.
Whoever books and checks in must be 19 or older; children can stay but are kept out of 19+ areas. Arrival from 4 pm, departure by 11 am — and don't count on room service, which isn't offered for now.
At the tables
On the table side: roulette, craps, I Luv Suits, baccarat and blackjack. Poker moves to a private room called "the Lighthouse" on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The slot floor got new titles in December 2025 and again in March 2026. Rewards Club membership is free and knocks a little off buffet and gift-shop prices.
Eating in, and showtime
Options are few. The Buffet opens Wednesday through Saturday — Thursday is Ribs & Wings night, Friday is AA Prime Rib — and Rewards members save a few dollars. The other choice is the Hub City Pub, right by the slots. You'll need to be 19 for either. For live music, the on-site Molson Canadian Centre hosts the concerts.
Downtime and pets
Both the pool and the gym require supervision for kids under 12. Travelling with animals? Two cats or dogs are allowed per room, maximum 50 lbs apiece, at $40 a night — though they can't come into the restaurants, gym or pool. Parking is free; the front desk will take down your car's plate, make and model when you arrive.
Getting out
Make a road trip of it: the hotel's own suggestions include the Capitol Theatre, TreeGO, Tidal Bore Park and Magnetic Hill with its zoo, and the Bay of Fundy's Hopewell Rocks are close enough for a day out.
The getaway verdict
Roomy, pet-friendly and with a pool — a reliable overnight on a Maritime drive. Just plan to eat in town at least once, because the choice on site is thin.
